Course Entry Requirements and Terms & Conditions

Dear learner,

Thank you for your interest in studying with us to enhance your career. With a team of specialist trainers and assessors, we will deliver high quality training and assessment.  For you to get the best learning experience with us, we require you to confirm you are booking on the right level of study and workshop.  We therefore request you carefully read the Entry Requirements and qualification Terms & Conditions outlined below before booking and paying for a course.

It is your responsibility to confirm you meet any specific entry criteria for a qualification.  If you are unsure or have any queries, please contact us at training@aal-member.co.uk before booking as refund fees* apply.

Teaching and Training Courses Ltd (TTC) manages training/qualifications on behalf of the Association for Accredited Learning (AAL).  Payments will be made to TTC.

Refunds

*£25 administration fees are charged for the following (workshops and qualifications):

  • Not meeting entry requirements and therefore needing to withdraw.
  • Transferring onto the same course, but a different date.
  • Transferring place to someone else.

50% of the fee is refundable if cancelling a course more than ten working days of the start date.

Unfortunately, no refunds are issued if cancelling less than ten working days of the start date.

Cancellations must be in writing to training@aal-member.co.uk.

Workshops Entry Requirements

Not leading to qualifications

The workshops listed below do not have specific entry requirements. We do, however, expect delegates to be sufficiently knowledgeable to participate fully in sessions.  During all remote teaching, we expect delegates to participate fully and keep their cameras on.

  • Train the Trainer workshop – ideally you will have some experience of training
  • Enhance your Digital Wellbeing (workshop 1)
  • Professionally Facilitate a Virtual Networking Event (workshop 2)
  • Virtual Public Speaking (workshop 3)
  • Digital Wellbeing Ambassador
  • Managing Wellbeing Whilst Working Remotely ideally you will be a line manager or aspiring to a management position

Qualification Entry Requirements

You must carefully check you are booking on to the right level of study, as each of the following require written assessment.  Please contact us if you are unsure. 

In addition to the following, all qualifications have a Course Information Guide (CIG) which outlines entry requirements, assessment information and course expectations.  CIGs can be found on the relevant webpage where you book a course.  Alternatively these can be requested from training@aal-member.co.uk.

Licensed FE Specialist

  • Teaching qualification at Level 5
  • Industry knowledge
  • Assessing experience

Lived Experience Accredited Facilitator (LEAF)

Please email training@aal-member.co.uk to discuss your application as this is based upon lived experience.

Level 3 Advanced Virtual Teacher/Trainer Award

  • Aged 19+.
  • Ability to write at level 3 standard and hold a minimum of Level 2 English qualification
  • Teacher pathway: learners must have min. Level 3 teaching qualification
  • Trainer pathway: min. two years experience of training (either virtual or face to face)

Level 3 Award in Digital Skills: Teaching and Learning

  • Aged 18+
  • Teaching experience
  • Ability to write at level 3 standard and hold a minimum of Level 2 English qualification

Level 3 Award in Education and Training

  • Aged 19+.
  • Ability to write at level 3 standard and hold a minimum of Level 2 English qualification
  • In-house delivery only

Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment     

  • Ability to write at level 3 standard and hold a minimum of Level 2 English qualification

Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

  • Ability to write at level 4 standard and hold a minimum of Level 2 English qualification

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice              

  • Ability to write at level 4 standard and hold a minimum of Level 2 English qualification
  • Have completed or be working towards the ‘Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice’ unit
  • Be an active internal moderator/IQA to demonstrate competence for a portfolio

 

 

 

Qualification Terms & Conditions

These T&Cs apply to all courses that have formal assessment.

  • I understand that I have six months to complete this qualification
    Learners have six months to have completed and been certificated for the qualification as of the initial submission deadline, otherwise learners will only receive a certificate of attendance for the workshops that were initially attended.
  • I understand that if I do not complete my qualification within the six month window and have not spoken to my assessor regarding genuine reasons for non-submission (which must be evidenced), I may be withdrawn. If I wish to re-join, I will be charged.
  • I understand that I will be required to provide photographic evidence of myself before I can be registered with the awarding body.
  • I understand that training and assessment is delivered by TTC and internally quality assured by AAL.
  • I understand the refund fees* stipulated above.
  • I understand that if I require support, I should contact my tutor first. I do not need to wait for my tutor to contact me.
  • I have carefully read the Course Information Guide (CIG) for qualifications which outline details on entry requirements, assessment, expectations.  CIGs can be found on the relevant webpage to book a course.  Alternatively I can request these from training@aal-member.co.uk.
  • I understand there is an expectation for me:
    – to participate during sessions
    – to submit assessments on time
    – to set aside time for self-directed study to support either my virtual, classroom or e-learning.
  • I acknowledge that I should email training@aal-member.co.uk if I do not understand any of the T&Cs, entry requirements or have questions before I book / pay for a course or I will be charged a refund fee* if I wish to withdraw.
