This month’s network meeting was a great success with a CPD focus on portfolio creation and organisation. Excellent conversations were had regarding the important features when it comes to organisation of a portfolio in different areas of education. Should there be a standard – of course! There must be a standard, including the inclusion of a progression tracking sheet, space for learner and assessor feedback and the all-important contents page to help guide your Internal and External Quality Assurers.

Our planned standardisation revolved around Level 1 work and looked at the importance of differentiation, styles of feedback and what would be expected of a learner working at Level 1 – this is GCSE equivalent. Areas such as spelling, punctuation and grammar were discussed, with members of our network creating some amazing thinking points moving forward.
